center console switches

Is there a blank switch that is supposed to snap into the center switch location on the center console? Or is there some switch that can go there? I have a vacant hole that I want to close up w/ either a switch blank or maybe an inop. switch. What would go there other then a blank? And where could I obtain a blank for that spot?
Thanks
Dave

There is a blank there for US models. Canadian models had a headlight washer switch in the location. You can talk to Ray at Malloy Mazda to see if the blank is sold separately.

Maybe we have a sticky with just Ray's contact info. Seems like every week someone asks for it even though it's in the FAQ.

i think it snaps up from the bottom, meaning you have to unclip the top center console piece, unscrew the small plastic thing that holds all 3 of the buttons to the console piece (2 screws) and then slide/snap it in, if i recall correctly...

On the topic of the center console switches - is the defogger switch supposed to spring back up after you push it in, or is it supposed to stay pressed untill you push it again to depress it?
And is there any indication light to tell you the rear defogger is turned on?

Spring return, push once to turn it on push again to turn it off, leave it alone after you turn it on and it will go off by itself after IIRC 20 min.
