Center Console is scorching hot!

Can somone please help me figure out what my problem is???

My center console is getting to about 110 deg. Its extremeley hot, what could be causing this. I checked the tranny fluid level and it was okay....????

check the rubber seal between the shifter and the transmission tunnel. Mine was torn, I replaced it and immediately noticed a difference in temp.

Check the rubber seal as CCarlisi suggested and there should also be some ugly looking felt piece that goes over/around it. I went a step further and placed some DEI heat shielding material under the rubber boot/seal thing that also extended along the sides of the tranny tunnel under the carpetting. That helped a lot!

Also, replacing the tranny oil with some fresh Redline by itself led to a very noticeable difference before my extra insulation tricks.
