Center Channel speaker / Guage replacement

Yes i've seen the kit to replace the center channel speaker with a pair of guages. Has anybody done this install? If so can you tell me the easiest place to run the wires and change out the speaker with the guage pod. thanks.

Are you worried at all about the sound quality of the stereo after the center channel is outta there?

I looked into doing that mod myself, and decided that the best way to run a cord would be down through the radio area itself. If you pull the radio out, you can actually raech the bottom of the center channel with a little bit of pain...LOL

I'm a mobile electronics installer...the center channel is leaving the car anyway...heh. I just got the car however and haven't had time to crack the dash open to look around...just thought i'd get some advice b4 i started. Also, where is the best place (cheapest) to get good electronic guages...i don't wanna play around with the vaccuum hoses for the cheaper mechanical guages.
