cat question
my car is missing no5 and no6 in the exhaust section in the fsm page 192.
due too last owner prob havin a high flow cat.
is it nessessary to have the check valve or do u think i could just use high temp piping?
if i had to buy it how much would 5 and 6 roughly cost?

If your worried about passing California smog inspection, I passed with a Bonez just a few months ago, so I'm pretty sure you will too...as long as everything else is working properly.

yes it is necessary to have the check valve installed. I used the stock check valve when I installed my Bonez HF cat. I was told it keeps gases in check during the operation of the air pump and air control valve. so I kept it and pass California smog without any problems. but as posted above all your smog devices must be in working order. these cars will fail smog quickly if something is out of order.

You need the check valve or the exhaust will overpower the air that is trying to be pushed in by the airpump and it won't work properly. I have a used Bonez cat laying around if you need one.
