cat-back and downpipe
cat-back and downpipe
everything else is stock. will this be fine or shouldi do somthing else first? i read from one of the newbies it said to do downpipe and intake and another said downpipe and mid pipe. it will be daily driven will i get any boost spike or over heating. temp is average about 85-95. thanks for any help and for taking the time to read my post
Welcome to the forum!
Please read through the newbie sticky. Most are fine with those two mods but some have required a boost controller to keep boost from rising above the stock 10 psi. Get a boost gauge before you do anything.

Do you have a boost gauge in your car? Install one first before you do anything to ensure that your boost pattern is normal which, if you don't know, is 10-8-10, which you can test for driving WOT in 3rd gear.
And every car responds to modification a little differently. That said, the stock ECU should handle those two mods just fine, but as a rule, keep max boost at 10 PSI for reliabilty's sake.
Here's a good reference to read through:

i just have a downpipe and catback right now. mechanic says while he was testing my car that my boost was spiking to ~10.5psi. he recommend i get a boost gauge to monitor things and also either a boost controller to make sure to keep it down or an aftermarket ecu (pref. an apexi power fc) for better tuning.
