Caster adjustment out of spec

I aligned my car today and got all the corners perfect except for passenger side front caster. In order to get the camber where I wanted it (-1.1) and get caster as close to +6 as possible, I had to crank the rear eccentric all the way counter-clockwise. This still only got me to +7.3. I assume lowering the car has changed the adjustment range somewhat but would I be correct in assuming that a worn bushing in the LCA may be to blame as well?

Thanks!

Had a similar issue recently after installing new Mazda Comp bushings and trying to get the car aligned. Haven't figured it out yet but I did notice that I need to replace my alignment bolts/cams as they have stretched and are no longer holding position.

Is your sai readings close to each other on the front?

gracer: Yea I'm definitely going to order a new eccentric bolt as well and cam because there's a little play in "D" cutout so the far side doesn't move in lock-step with the bolt.

ryan1: I'm not sure what sai reading is. I set the front left to -1.1 camber, 0 toe, +6.2 caster and the front right to -1.1 camber, 0 toe, +7.3 caster.

Once I get a new eccentric and possibly replace the bushings I'll go back and try and get the right caster lower.

Steering axis of inclination and included angle ,will be figured after you do your caster sweep. The angles is not adjustable, but will tell you if you have any bent parts or frame. If they are close side to side your good, if not, that will most likley be why you can't get the caster you need.

Okay, thanks. I think we looked at that. The tech who helped me set my car up on the alignment rack (at a DIY garage place) pulled up a few different screens including one that showed ride height for all 4 corners and another he said showed me that my car didn't have any frame damage -- maybe that was the one. This was my first time operating that equipment so I am not sure of all the terminology.
