Hell yeah, if the price is right I'll take one. I am getting FD3's right now and I am going to try to get paint to adhere to that plastic but a nice CF one would be great to paint, if only just for shows and whatnot, do you think he could throw some FRP in that mold and drop the price a bit?...

I 've already made my mold for this .I was going to do this as well. I kindof got side tracked after I made the mold. You guys want my mold? It's ready to use. I just don't really have the time to finishthe project at the moment. I have several things going on with my Fd right now and the lip is the last of my concerns. I'd ship it and give it to you for 1 copy when they are made.

Go Dave! Come on violator you know you wanna! sounds liek a fair deal and you save on making the mold! So overall price can be cheaper . Boost, PM violator if you can and get his attn ASAP.
With an r1 lip, do you still need those protective undersides on the bumper? Also I just wanna make sure, but kevlar has some yellow in it correct? Is it any stronger than cf?

Well for goodness sake, if kevlar is is actually THAT flexible, and you've got the ability, MAKE A MOLD FOR A '99 FRONT END.
I know i'd MUCH rather have a FLEXIBLE '99 front end w/ no plate holder and a factory '99 lip, than i would a CF/kevlar lip thats just gonna get scratched to hell no mater what you do and what you make it out of.

O yeah I was just thinking about that. This might look nice, but it's made to pretty much get scratched so I really don't see the point in a cf/kevlar front lip. Then again, only the bottom gets scratched so I'm prolly wrong .

for the quality to be good i need to mold from the orginal.
my friend made a fiberglass lip for a civic, and u can literly bend the two ends 180degrees and it still didnt crack.
i think once i get it made it will prob be 200 or so. prob trying to get it lower so everyone can afford one.

Totally understand. You could likely mold from a Pettit FG copy. Perhaps if enough folks were pooled, a FG copy could be purchased OR, perhaps one of the forum-freindly vendors (like RX7store, ore Rotary extreme) might be willing to donate a piece (to be returned) to be molded, and then it could be sold through them with you taking a cut? Just an idea, i prob sound like a broken record on this forum, but i bet a flexible, no bracket '99 bumber would sell pretty well.

ok this monday the 99 spec lip mold project is gonna be started. it will take a a good 2-3 weeks for an absolute perfect mirror image mold. not even a hair line. ne ways while im at it what other things do u guys want me to mold?
im thinking of buying the feed HLC and molding that and then selling them too. also goin to mold the front fender air ducts. it all depends what everyone wants.
once the mold is done i will get him to pop some lips out and i will show u gusy some pics. then get whoever that wants one to order. i will keep u guys posted.
