Car wont start, pig rich when it does
Im finishing up my rebuild and on the home stretch but i have a a starting problem. I have been able to start the car a few times, but most of the time it doesn't want to start.
Symptoms: Will not turn over, makes a clicking under UIM for 1-2s but then doesn't start, Very rich when it has started, PFC read .3 KG/ccm while key is at the on postion and about 0 when the car managed to idle (lots of black smoke)
What i've checked: battery voltage is ~12.5 volts,
Fuel pump primes when starting
VTA1 and VTA2 are both within the correct specified ranges
disconnected ISC (it is not responsible for the clicking)
Removed UIM and and tried starting the car (clicking went from being under the UIM to the ABS box above the ABS Pump?????, after reinstalling the UIM the car started up and ran super rich, PFC shows 25% injector duty at idle. Car does not want to turn over anymore
Relevant mods: Fresh Rebuild, emissions removed with exception of ISC, down pipe rb exhaust, PFC, removed air pump (have not changed setting on Powerfc yet, will do tonight when i get home)
NEXT steps i will try: Im thinking that there is a short somewhere under the UIM and that my MAP sensor my be outta whack, I will try and check my map sensor tonight using FSM (anyone have any tips on how to do this? check voltage on backside of ABC pins while key at on postion if i recall correctly)
Whats a good technique for finding shorts? and does anybody have any words of advice to help me out

whats the condition of your wire harness? how are your grounds? most importantly the main engine ground. did you do a full reset of the pfc before starting the car? did you mess with the tps at all? map sensor is a possibilty and i have no idea how to test it. i always have a working spare on hand for situations like this.
are all the plugs on the engine harness in the proper locations? no idea how to check for shorts but depending on the condition of your wire harness, you could be led in a different direction. try unplugging the isc and see what happens. i dont have anything on my uim besides the iat and the tps.
