Car won't start...

Hello I tried searching before I ask this.. But I took my car to the body shop to get a kit put on and the whole car repainted, and it was running fine.. And then I a call saying my car won't start.. I checked the obvious stuff: spark plugs, fuses, and whatnot.. I know the car is getting fuel because they happened to flood the engine.. so I pulled the spark plugs out and let it sit overnight, and told them not to start it.. But the next day it still wouldn't start up(wouldn't turn over). Any help advise would be great.

Thanks
Raleigh

sounds like that shop ruined your car... you say it was running fine before you brought it there? hmmmm... they should be liable for it, but it might be tough proving they did it.

Let's hope it's just a flooded engine. Although it sounds like you tried to "unflood" it and start it already. There have been numerous threads on how to start a flooded engine, or unflood it. Perhaps someone with more experience can chime in?

Try charging the battery. Body shops tend to have the doors open alot which leaves the interior lights on, this drains the battery. Also you can't just take the plugs out to unflood the car, you need to turn it over to get the fuel out of the combustion chambers. Make sure you disconnect the coils before you crank the car with the plugs out.

i just got the car back from the shop too, 3 days later it won't start. still working on the problem, but i freaked out about it at first when the problem occurred earlier today..... now im just taking it one step at a time.

at first i thought the battery was good, but after cranking 6 or 7 times, its completely dead.

im charging the battery at the moment, and will see if the motor is flooded

lmk how your fd repair goes
