My battery(yellow top optima) and alternator(rebuilt mazda) were just replaced at the same time. I put them in and went to start the car and it fired right up. I let it run for a bit and shut it down. The next day I fired it right back up and drove to the gas station to fill up. After filling up for a couple minutes I went to restart it and nothing happened. I checked the engine bay and couldn't find anything. After trying to start it for 5 min. I gave up waited 10 min. gave it one last try and it fired right up. WTF?! If it sits for 10 min. it will start right up but I can not get it to restart a couple minutes after shut down. What up with this?

Mods: Apexi PFC, K&N intake, downpipe, exhaust, pulley's, street port w/3mm apex seals, SMIC,

 

you might want to check ur hose.. or maybe you weak coolant seal which coolant go into your engine where ur spark plug is.. you might want to check that. if it is.. then... u need to rebuild.

 

try to restart and nothing happened? does it crank or try and start or just nothing?

 

Nothing happens.

 

check the clutch switch and battery/alternator connections

I talked to Cam at Pettit today and he said that it sounds like I need a starter booster. The problem there is that I already have one. It looks like I'm going to see him this weekend and see if I can get this figured out.
