Ok here is the deal, i installed safeguard from j&s its supposed to retard the ignition. I give it the acid test and it starts to run poor, due to being retarded....i cant seem to get it to work so i yank it out and now the car wont start. its getting fuel (i can smell it) the plugs are firing (coils are putting out power, arced to the frame) so is it possible that the timing is off? and how can i fix it? thanks for any help

oh ya after cranking on it for a few it partly fires but wont actually start

 

Try resetting the ecu.

Disconnect the ground from the battery and press on the brakes for about 3 sec, I think.

 

Ive tried that but ill do it agian who knows, so you press the brake after you disconnect the ground or after you rehooked up the ground?
