Car Trouble. need help ASAP plz.

Okay, my buddy left his car in a parking lot, when he came back, he unlocked the door, went in, tried to start it, and it didn't do anything. When he put it to the 'ON' poisition, the power windows wont go down, the sunroof won't open, and he has no windshield wiper's or ABS. He had to push start it to get it going, and he had to fill up while it was running. He did set the factory security system too, and he's wandering if that's what happens when someone tries to break in, and how he can fix this?? The only power functions that work are is his stereo and the side mirrors. Anyone have an idea? He really needs to fix this, seeing that he is out-of-town. I am posting this for bigmack000.

It's not the battery, when he boosted it the same thing happened. We are pretty sure someone tried to break in. I think the theif cut some of the wires or something.

I had similar symptoms, but with a totally different situation. I had a new key made at Mazda, cus my old one was pretty beat up. It started the car, but nothing electrical worked. No radio, lights, sunroof, windows, etc.

I had them make another one, and that one works fine. It's probably worth a shot to try a new key.

I assume you checked all the fuses and whatnot?

Sometimes this happens to my car. I have a loose ground connection on the battery. A little wiggle to give it a "tighter" feel is needed and she starts right up.
