car starts on one rotor only. HELP
A new problem started last week. Any time i cold start my car it fires up on one rotor. After giving it a few low rpm quick revs the second rotor will fire up and all is well. It takes about 10 to 45 seconds for the second rotor to come on randomly. I know the trailing coil on my front rotor has recently gone out, but it was still running fine while i decide which after market coils to buy. I dont really put a lot of miles on this car. Also what after maket coils would you recomend? I am also going to change the wires. recomendations? And the plugs are brand new.

Do you see smoke out the exhaust when this happens?
Sounds to me like it's flooding, either with coolant or with fuel in one chamber only. The other chamber maintains full compression and starts, while the flooded one has to slosh around whatever is inside until it's finally mostly expelled and the plug dries off enough to start firing. I've seen this many times on coolant seal engines and on engines with a leaky fuel injector.
You can try changing your plugs in case one of them is trying to foul out, but odds are that won't fix your problem. If it were me, I'd go out one day before trying to start it, pull both my lower plugs, remove the egi fuse, get 2 towels or pieces of paper, one in each hand, and have someone crank the car for several seconds while I held the towels/paper against the plugholes. Whatever is flooding the engine will be shot out of one of the plugholes and you can examine the towel/paper closely to find out what it is. You'll also know which chamber the problem is in.
