yea, that would have been my next guess...and if ALL of ur synchros are out ur lookin @ one pricey tranny rebuild cuz ur gear teeth are all rounded off as well by this point. Call the last owner and ask him what he did to ur car before u got it too.

well he said that the car drove just fine and all then one day it just stopped moving. it has 106000 total. well it doent grind at all because it doesn't go into gear. How much do you think it will cost to fix it. i bought it for $7000 cash and traded a 90 jetta and my 88 rx7 for it i was going to sell them any ways so it dosent matter I will talk to one of my mechanic friends and see what he has to say on monday. oh well do you guys think it was a good deal?

i know the problem!!

hey man does it go into gear when car off it it does it is a very cheap cheap thing to fix all rx7 clutches are hydralic and you broke the slave cylinder i believe it is called to is what holds your clutch fluid if it is out JUST DEAD with a leak or just not working then a replacement and some fluid will fix it ran me about 153.99 at a shop to fix including labor and parts.....it happened to me after a stalled the **** out of my car!!!!

it dosent go into gear at all with the engine on or off. it feels like the clutch is moving and there is no hydralic fluid leaking, that i can see. maby ill jack the car up and see if its on the other end of the line. if it isnt that how much do you think it will cost to replace/ fix the tranny? thanks for the help
