car died on me!
so im about to take off from a stop and the car bogged lightly once and then dropped rpm and shut off. so i pull the spark plugs, some were kinda bad one was worst then the others, i cleaned them thoroughly and got a good spark from them. still the car wont start. then thats when i noticed theres no gas being received. the gas tank was half fool still. so i remove the intake elbow to expose the butterfly and no gas when cranked. i removed a sending fuel line, plug it with my finger, have someone crank it and still no gas. i can here the fuel pump working and im starting to wonder if my fuel filter could be clogged again. i just replaced it not to long ago what do you all think??? im going to double check the pump, then the filter and work my way to the front of the car till that lil gremlin is cought. what do you all think?
how do i check the fuel pump relay?
ok so i disconnected the sending fuel line from were the tank is, left the grounding wire and clip connected still, i then cranked the car, and still no fuel is coming out. does this mean the fuel pump is out or should i be looking else were for my fuel gremlin???

In the engine bay, in one of the fuse boxes, I believe the one closest to the latch right by the radiator, there is will be a fuel pump relay. Remove it and test it for continuity.
You should hear and feel that relay "click" when power is applied to it. You can check it while its still in the car, but its probably better to do it outside of the car with a 9v battery (this way you can be sure its the fuel pump relay that is clicking). If you have a meter, verify that the relay actually "changes state" when you apply power to it. IIRC, the relay is normally open, so without power you should not have continuity on the contacts. When you power it up, you should get continuity.
