Unhappy Car is dead when i try to start it

but it runs fine if i jump it. sometimes it will restart just fine butthen other times ill come back and try to start it right after running it and its dead. not totally just not enough to start it again. any ideas?!

Check the positive terminal wiggle it. if it works after you wiggle. then it's the crappy terminal mazda gave us. really easy to screw up if you over tighten any...

If when you turn the key you hear the fuel pump click, but nothing else (car isn't turning over), it could also be your clutch switch going out. If it's going bad, the car can't sense the clutch is on the ground, so the circuit isn't complete, and the engine won't crank at all. You'll still have power, and the fuel pump will turn on. You can check if the clutch switch is engaged on the PFC.

If this is the case, it's a cheap easy fix, and in the meantime, dropping and letting go of the clutch a few times will help get it to engage.
