Well, nearly 2 weeks ago i began the endeavour to port my wastegate. Yesterday I finally got everything put back in and started it. Holy god it scared the crap out of me. Smoke everywhere, even from the engine bay. Ran like crap. Idled at 2K RPM. Backfire about 3 times per second. I let it warm up for about 20 minutes and the smoke and backfire cleared and idle slowly dropped to 750. Then i celebrated. I drove around and literally had tears forming because i had missed the car so much. As for the porting, creep is better but not gone. I creep from 7 to 9psi rather than 7 to 13, and 10 to 11 rather than 10 to god-knows-how-high. Love the car as much as ever. But goddamnit, I have a ******* bigass exhaust leak. Can't tell if it's at the turbo->downpipe or exhaust manifold -> turbo. When i force it into smoke mode (pull map sensor), it kinda just smokes from everywhere. How can this be?! I tightened everything to 80 ft-lbs. Now i get nice popping nearly everytime i let off the throttle (got it frequently before, but now it's crazy). *sigh* maybe over winter i'll replace aaaallll the studs and nuts instead of just the ones that seized.

My TII has been down since August of 2000. I miss that thing, and next year I will drive it again. We will be ruinited once again and I....Oh I mean...ah I miss the car. Anyway......congratulations on the car, and I understand your pain on missing the car. I'm at school right now, and its in the parking lot....and I miss it.

looks like porting went well...mine only creept up to 11 wich is fine by me ..but on to single and new engine$$$
