cant steal the rx without the egi relay?

I figured if you pull the egi relay the engine stalls and doesnt go anywhere.I think this would be a great anti theft countermeasure. What does everyone else think.

Hmmm... Wire a switch to the relay... Have switch actuated when ignition is off. Could it work?

I dont know too much about electrical stuff. But what would be the goal of the switch? To bypas the egi relay or to use it as a secret cutoff switch?

If it could be a hidden cutoff, that would rock!

negative, a real theif would just tow your car if he really wanted, they all have either those fricken flat bed trucks with winches or the ones which have the claws which can take your car in under 15 secs (i have seen it )

the other type of guys would just steal your stereo and **** in your car and/or set it ablaze...

Whether it's loaded or not, everyone, and I mean everyone, instantly recognizes the sound of a pump shot gun action. That's all you need. Anytime my alarm goes off, open the front door and chha-chck.

just watched a show on TLC or something called Repo Men. If they really want your car, they back up to it with a modified F350 or something like that with a fork type thing on it, your car is gone in less than a minute. No alarm, nothing. No chance to even know your car is gone.

I like the sword because its quiet. How much noise can it make when you slice someones hand off.None.Although im sure the person will be screaming.Im looking into getting a desert eagle and also maybe a mosberg 12 gauge.I used to be a sergeant in the army so my aim will be true.God help the guy who falls under my aim.lol.

Simple truth, if someone wants your car, they can and will get it no matter what (just ask RotaryKnight who owned the white FD from Fast & the Furious). They found his car stripped and all 3 alarms and "the club" were laying on the driver's side floorboard.

Just be smart where you park your car, that's about all you can do.

well I dont worry about that.My car is parallel parked between my other two cars.Theyd have to do a lot of moving.Plus the rx 7 I rear wheel drive so they would have to tow it from the back right?By the time they figure all that out.Ill wake up.Im a light sleeper.Kinda paranoid thanx to the good ol army.

Just wait until a bunch of rookies want to steel your car and realize that they can't get it started. They then proceed to get pissed and **** up your interior and exterior in every way possible leaving your car badly damaged but in one place.

Think about it.

I agree that anyone who really wants the car, and is a professional, can take it no matter what alarm devices you put on it. But alarms will deter many would be thieves who are just doing it for the thrills.
