I have been running at a local 1/8 mile track out here in San Diego. I am having a horrible time hitting third gear. I am not sure if it is a tranny issue or a motor mount issue or both. This is what I have done, first I replaced the stock flywheel and clutch (which was about gone) with an ACT lightned flywheel and an ACT clutch and pressure plate. I have a B&M short shifter as well as an engine torque dampener. The car has 67,000 original miles. When I am driving normal on the street I do not have a problem shifting into third. I just have the problem when I am shifting when the motor is at high RPM's i.e. 7,000-7,200 RPM.
I even tried to take my time to shift into third when I was running on the track but it is extremely difficult to get into third gear until the RPM's go back down. I hope I have given enough info to get some good feedback and suggestions.
