Cant find my antenna wires!

Ok for the life of me i cannot find the 2 antenna wires behind the radio. Now i know they are there because at one time i had the power antenna one hooked up to several aftermarket radios. I was wondering if anyone can tell me where they come in at.. top, bottom, right side left side. so that i might be able to find a section of them and see just where they are hiding.

Now i did manage to find one of them the other day but i didnt have an adapter at the time and so i put everything back together. Now i lost it again.. WTF right?

Also how do i tell the difference between the two? i would like to hook up the one on the rear glass because my power antenna is dead.

DO they use different adapters? or are they the same on the end. Back when i had just the power antenna hooked up i didnt even realize there was another connection back there for another antenna.

EDIT: ok i found both of them. the larger one was wedged tightly behind the metal bracket and the smaller one was wedged tightly between the transmission tunnel and the the passenger side plastic. Now i think the large one is for the power antenna and the smaller one is for the hatch antenna. Where can i get adapters for these?

Adaptor for what? The larger one is a standard size and you can pretty much find anything you need. I have NEVER been able to find anything to fit the smaller one. It's close to a GM size, but not close enough!

adapter for the antenna.

i've heard of people using just the hatch antenna so there must be some way to connect it to an aftermarket radio.. unless they were still using the factory radio...

well i looked in my storage unit and i found a scosche micro antenna adapter, it plugs right into the smaller antenna wire, unfortunately its male mini to standard female, so now i will need a male to male adapter in standard size. Fortunately that shouldnt be too hard to come by.

I used to own a car audio shop about 5 years ago and have all kinds of this **** remaining.

well i made a male male extention and hooked it all up. i get horrible reception. i managed to pick up the one local station here. i get the same reception with my 1' extention as i do with the antenna hooked up.

Is the glass antenna powered? do i need to hook up a wire in order for it to get any kind of reception? or should i start looking into alternative antenna's?

FWIW, I get terrible reception with the retractable antenna on mine.

my retractable antenna used to work well... that is when it went up. i don't particularly care for the power antenna and i thought the glass antenna might work well, or even acceptable, but it works just as bad as not having an antenna. unless im missing something. such as a wire i need to have 12 v on.
