Can you mix clutch parts?

So I finally need to upgrade my Exedy stage 2 clutch to something beefier but I'm wondering if I really need to upgrade the whole unit. Couldn't I reuse my existing Exedy pressure plate and purchase a new disc from ACT like this one?

What do you guys think?

Yes you can,but im sure some here would say not to. As long as the dia. is the same & the thickness is not way different. I dont see as a problem.

I have personally run Exedy pp & clutch net disc in my FC,& will be doing the same on my FD...

I was also looking into running a clutchnet disc with my Exedy pressure plate. What setup are you running and how much power/toque are you pushing through it?

As long as it's the same clutch type (i.e. push & push), you can mix them. However, you need to make sure you are matching the right pieces to get the desired outcome. I use an ACT Pressure Plate with a sprung 6-puck from Racing Beat.
