Can you help out a possible new RX-7 owner?

Ok, I found a local guy selling a 93 touring RX-7, 67k miles montego blue tan interior stock with a new engine at 60k miles. He is asking $11k for it, I have not seen it yet in person but i am going too.

I am looking at increasing th HP, nothing crazy....yet.

It is an auto, but I'd like to get the HP to about 300 at the wheels, without spending a ton of $$$ I am sure if I searched the forum for hours I could fine what I am looking for, but I was hoping I could get a decent list of mods.

I ws looking at doing the Racing Beat dual exhaust, but beyond that I am not sure what else I can do.

Please help me out and list the best mods for the most HP for the money.

Thanks!!!

First sort out the reliability: replace stock plastic AST, install a boost gauge, better and bigger radiator, replace all fluids and fuel filter.
Replace precat with downpipe, install some aftermarket intakes and boost controller and install some aftermarket ECU (currently one for sale in 3rd gen parts forum for auto FD), get bigger intercooler and catback and you should be on around 300rwhp.

Just checked that thread and the ECU was sold already. It was going for like $300. Dirt cheap.
Yes, you are looking into 2-3k range if you find all the stuff used.
AST $150
Koyo radiator $360
Downpipe $300
SMIC $1500
ECU $700
Catback ??

You get the idea. If you find items used, you can get them at about 2/3 of the original price or thereabout.
