Can I install a Wideband on the front end of my Bonez Hi-Flow Cat?
Instead of removing my downpipe, which I don't want to do again, I was wondering if I can install the wideband bung ahead of the cat in some of the regular 3" tubing? I just installed the Bonez Hi-Flow Cat so it would be easy to remove before I even take the car off jack stands. I would rather put it here if that would work because it would be a lot easier than taking that dag nab down pipe off again. I don't see why it wouldn't work but what is the professional opinion on this?

My LM1 says you can or should install anywhere before the cat with best positions between the 10:00 - 2:00 (upper side of the pipe). So, I think this would be fine. I only temp installed mine in the stock location but for those keeping it in, I think lower down the pipe is better - longer sensor life. An import car mag tested several units at the same time and their test pipe had them welded all around so I think you'll be fine.
