Can the 99spec Wing be mounted easily on older models?

Hi guys,

Firstly, It's been a long time since I've last been here. I've just bought my FD - see here:

https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...postcount=5394

Anyway, I searched and I couldn't find the answer. I want to get rid of the blade spoiler I have and install the 99spec adjustable one.

Firstly, can this be done(and done well), and secondly how hard is it to do?

Apart from that I just want to make my Series 7 get the series 8 touches - especially the white face gauges - front bar, and other stuff like clear indicators, the circle taillights etc

Here is the wing I'm talking about.

most of those things can be easily done to the series 6/7 rx-7's. the only one i heard can give you problems is hooking up the new gauges

edit: here's a link i found a while ago about installing a '99 spec wing.

Thanks.

I was hoping the gauges wouldn't be too hard - To be honest I just don't like the green illumination at all

well this is what i've heard (so you make want to double check it) but apparently the part the makes it difficult is the 99 gauges have a boost gauge where as the series 6 (and im guessing 7) have an oil pressure gauge. thats what makes it difficult to swap.

Yes you are correct. I'm just hoping there is away around this. I'll have to think about that one.

dont change the gauges mate, personally i think if your ever going to sell it then it might be difficult to sell with gauges that have been changed. I personally would assume falsified kms when i see new gauges. So many nicer mods to do mate. I actually prefer the black ones anyway, the white is a bit bright.
