A/C vent change not working
I dont know what it is offically called... But the **** that changes the vent direction (ie. Floor/Defrost/Face+Floor)
It doesn't work... when you switch it to a different postion the air just keeps coming out of the face vents. It's annoying when I'm trying to defrost the window and it just stays blowing on me.
does anyone know what could be causing this?
Mitch

I have had this same problem for years, but mine works on and off. Apparently it doesn't want to switch on days you REALLY need it.
Anyway, can someone let me know where this relay is?

I don't know about any relay, specifically...
The route of airflow is directed by the "airflow mode actuator." It is controlled by the "heater control unit (amplifier)" which is part of the climate switch/**** aparatus just behind the panel.
Do your hot/cold mix and fresh/recirc function as well? They're controlled by the same control unit, but that doesn't neccessarily mean the control unit is good if the others function as well.
In short, you want to be sure the actuator is OK before you buy another control unit.
