Hi All,

Anyone ever have the A/C and stereo go out at the same time?

I was driving back from Dallas to Austin and at a stop light sitting idle the stereo went out. I still see the light on the A/C but the compressor never comes on. I also see the time displaying VERY dimly through the Stock Stereo display but it will not come on either. I even ejected the tape but never got it to go back in, it has no power other than the dim time. The antenna never goes up either but I assumed that because the stereo never comes on now.

Everything else is fine. Car runs well.

I looked in my workshop manual but of course both A/C and electrical aren't in this version.

Any help please?

happened to me. was one of the fuses in the driver's kick panel. i referred to the manual and the fuse that blew didn't even sound like it had anything to do with the radio. i remember pulling them out one at a time till i finally found a blown one. replaced it and all was good.

 

Ever find out why it blew?

How long has it been since you replaced it that it has worked fine?

not a clue. its been 6+ months.
