A/C problem with RX7s

please help:

i tried to turn my A/C on but my engine dies (not right away but maybe after 30 to 60 secs). i warmed the car up and tried again but same thing happened. drove for a few mins, parked and tried again, same thing happened. i have very small dry cell battery (really small) does that affect anything?

somebody told me that running A/C on RX7s is not good because it uses the same belt or something?!?!? can anyone explain this to me please. thankyou

Get a compression test ASAP, the added strain of your A/C on your engine may be show loss of power. It may not be you engine, but a compression test takes seconds and is free. Easy way to dismiss a problem. Oh and I speak from experience my A/C at idle kept killing my car and in no time needed a rebuild.
