a/c fan question

Hi there,

When you turn on ur FD a/c on low, does both radiator fans come on or just one fan? When I turn on the a/c, only the driver side fan (4 blade) comes on, but when temp reaches 95deg both fan will come on. Is this normal?

No. Both fans should come on simultaneously. Coolant temps will affect the speed they run at, not whether the fans will operate in stages.

Ahh ic, anyone know why only driver side fan will come on with a/c on? but both fan will come on when coolant temp reaches 95deg.

I tried swapping fan plugs, connecting one to the other, but still the driver side fan comes on with a/c on? I thought it would switch to the passenger side.

Both fan motors are wired/wound so that they have 3 possible speeds (lo, med, hi) depending on how they are energized. There is a description in the FSM on how to check your fans - I suspect the lo-speed circuit is burned out on your passenger-side fan motor.
