A/C deleted....still power draw!?!

i removed my a/c a while back....everything; compressor, lines, condenser, relay, etc

today i was just tinkering with the FD and i'm like, "hmm, i wonder what would happen if i turned the a/c on hut hut,"

i turned it on and the idle chunks likes the a/c was really on....

wtf?! what could possibly be drawing that power?

BTW, you know how the fans kick on as soon as you turn on the a/c so i thought it might be those, i unplugged them and still the same chunk...i have no idea what's drawing that much power to make the idle fluctuated like that

any ideas?

It could be your electric load control unit trying to compensate for the a/c. Even though you physically don't have a magnetic clutch/compressor in your car, the load control unit will try to compensate for a load by adjusting your idle. I think the load unit will try to compensate once you have the blower setting on 3 or 4.

Yup - the ECU does not know that the AC is gone so it ups the idle to compensate for the expected higher load. This is not a problem.

I have the stock ecu and all a/c components removed and I usually hit the a/c button on the console whenever I slow down in traffic or parking lots. I have never noticed any change in power draw, change in rpms or anything else aside from the fans coming on. I thought this was normal as I know 2 other people who have all the a/c items removed and stock ecu and no fluctuations in anything when the a/c button is activated. Yes, the fans do come on at the higher fan speed and I use either 3 or 4 for the setting.
