Was wondering how you guys not running a/c blocked off the hole left in the firewall, where the lines ran through. I don't know where I am going to find a grommet in that size or shape. Any ideas on how to properly plug this hole? Thanks!

 

Sorry for the many pics, the app I am using kept crashing and did not realize it was loading the pictures every time I tried to reload.

 

If your dead set on a solid grommet, you may have to make that hole fit a grommet you can find, one a little bigger for example. If you had a pc. of non reinforced solid rubber, about 3/8in thick, you may be able to cut it to size and cut your own grove around the center of outer edge and make your own....lol. Take awhile, but it would work.

Now myself, I remove them hadlines, then utilize that grommet to run things thru the firewall, like wideband harness, aux. inj. wires and vac. line, boost vac line, a aux. 10g. ground cable to ground ECU point then to batt. neg. etc etc....

I wouldn't mind leaving it open like it is, but im worried about the heat from the downpipe/turbo going in the cab! And it doesn't necessarily have to be a grommet

 

I welded mine shut. If you want to plug it, measure the hole and start searching for "sheet metal plug" on the net.

 

I do not want to weld in case I decide to re install the a/c later on. I will look in to the sheet metal, thanks!
