Question buying parts from mazda japan?

ok, mods you can move this is you feel the need... i just figured someone here may know somehting about this.

anyway, i need some parts with japanese part numbers to keep building my 20b FD conversion. i need parts from the early 90's cosmos (like gaskets and such for the engine)... as well as other silly aesthetic things from the 99 spec cars (as im going full 99 spec as well). anyway, people have said try mazdamotorsports, but i really dont want to bother trying to *BEG* them for parts. i know that if i tell them that im building a car for competition that they will give me a temporary authorizatin to buy parts etc... but thats really only limited to performance parts etc. therefore, i cant get any of the little aesthetic nickknacks which i also need. the other route is to try to get someone in japan to order me the parts i need... in which case im sure ill get royally reamed by them on prices etc.

i was dissapointed to find out that ray @ malloy mazda wasnt able to get his jspec parts licence going... so im trying to find other legitimate routes to getting the parts i need (hopefully for less than double what they would cost in japan ). anyway, does anyone have any suggestions/hookups they could offer. thanks guys, heath

I suppose you could try JT-Imports or 4JSPEC (http://laujesse.tripod.com/4jspec/id10.html).

Jason at www.jt-imports.com is one choice.

Another is to hit the Far East forums and ask some Aussies/Kiwis. They have cosmos there and maybe of assistance.
