Question Buying an FD

I was wondering how much i should expect pay for an FD with a blown engine? i mean one that is in overall good shape, just a bad motor?

hey- check on ebay, there is an fd with a blown engine selling right now. its going for about 9 grand right now i think. im not sure if there is just 1 or maybe 2 of them selling. one had an engine fire and needs the front end replaced but it definitly has some engine problems.

If it's just a blown motor (where you can get by with a rebuild), then depending on the rest of the car a good price would be $4500 on the low end (for something like an engine fire) or around $8000 for one with just blown seals and everything is in good condition.

I don't think I would go higher than $8000 myself for one with a blown engine, but to each their own.
