Buying an FD...

One of my friends who owns a base 2001 Honda Prelude wants to get an FD for less than $18,000. I told him all the usual spiel about getting fuel management before any major mods, and the what-to-look-for stuff.

We live in SoCal, so there's quite a few FDs, but he's extremely skeptical about the "high mileage" ones that might need some attention or a rebuild. I also told him that whole other thing about taking time to seek out a pristine FD.

He knew I was subscribed to this board, so he wanted me to ask, how much do you pay for insurance? Please list what's on your policy (liability, or liability and all that other stuff) and your age.

Thanks

Full coverage, 93 touring, I'm 19(on the 28th) and I'm paying 233.30/month through State Farm. They quoted me 208 and then jacked the price( on my girlfriend's car too). I know they aren't the cheapest. Laterz

hehe, I've got to have some secrets.....

J/k, I have multiple car discount, I'm married, clean driving record, we also have renter's insurance w/Allstate also. I don't know how it's so low either. Maybe they made a mistake. If so, I'm not exactly going to bring it up with them...

I've got only liability. Theft can be an issue, but I keep my car garaged. If someone wants to steal my car, they'll take it anyway. In the end, I end up losing money regardless. I have a clean record, I'm 23. I pay $700 a year. When I hit 25, it'll drop and it'll drop again when I renew.
