Near the end of this month, I have decided to pull it off the road and only insure it on nice days, if we get any this fall haaaaaa. I now aquire a car cover. Those of you who have car cover for our car, what size should i be getting so i get a perfect fit?

California car cover makes one that specific for the FD (even the R1 model). I have one and it is awesome! However, the one I have is not meant to keep the elements off, its more for the garage. I don't know if they make one for the outside.

If you are a costco member see if your store has the Wolf 300 fabric covers. They are universal fit (not what I really wanted), but they pretty darn good for less than $50.

If I bought another one I might get the custom fit covercraft noah.

You really can't beat the costco price on the covers though. The fit sizes are an on the back of the box.

so i should go with a universal fit? any particular size suitable for the fd? i need one that will be for outside, that will keep the elements off, my garage is converted into a work out gym and den. So some name brands for car covers that keep the elements off, would be nice.

I have a Wolf cover, not the universal, but custom to the car. It's great. This is where I got it.

http://www.global-accessories.com/carcovers/wolfcovers/

They have 4 different types of fabric, and custom covers that will fit the R1/R2 models as well as the non wing cars. They also have universal covers.

I've got a Costco cover, the smallest size they have. It fits just as good as the custom cover my son purchased on e-bay. Its twice as thick as well. Highly recomended.

I bought the car with a like-new (never used) Mazda OEM cover that was... ok. Rather thin, but fit was good.

Someone bought me one from Mazdatrix for my birthday. I think it's made by Block It. It's very thick and fit is absolutely perfect. I got the R2 version and it fits the spoilers very snugly.

It covers all the way down to the bottom of the rims. Great for when you have to park in the driveway and have neighborhood cats that like to **** on the rims.

It was pricey though.
