That's what I was worried about... but I guess the money I would save buying a pre-modded 7 could be used to FIX the pre-modded 7.

I wouldnt buy someone's torn apart, non running, non assembled project, if I were someone like you who doesnt maintain a stash of used parts and have extensive knowledge of the car (like me). But, there isn't a ton of risk in buying a running, driving, relatively well tuned modded car, since you can readily inspect every part's working condition during the test drive and walk around, something that you can't do with a disassembled project.
