i installed my front superpro bushings tonight, now when i am coming to a stop i feel the ABS pump turn on for a second.

i know that when you first start the car and reach 5mph the ABS pump is supposed to turn on, but that same BZZZZ (for about 1 second) happens when every time i come to a stop now, right when i am almost stopped around 5mph.

i was thinking that we messed up one of my ABS sensors, but i thought that would make the ABS light come on (its not on). we did have to mess with the sensors quite a bit to remove them from the spindles, but they were still in one piece and didnt seem that mangled... anyone ever had this problem before? i'd hate to have to drop money on sensors if the problem could be something else.

this happened to me when i put some new struts on my car. make sure that the sensor is in the groove on the hub. mine was sideways in the groove and it put the sensor just far enough away for it not to read correctly.

 

what do you mean the groove on the hub? the sensor sticks through the spindle and sits just over top the spinner on the hub. how close is the little magnetic pickup supposed to be to the spinner?
