I would start a "name these connectors" thread with pictures of the connectors. Also, there are pictures of the harnesses with all the connectors labeled, that may help you out as well.

I’ll get some pictures up, it’s just the connectors on the engine harness that do not go into the ECU. Thanks for the reply

Here are a couple of pictures of the connectors I am in need of help with, first is the ECU connectors. I believe the black plug is the "A/T Controller" at least thats what I found in my searches around here. the second is in the engine bay, from looking around it was stated that it is a "coolant level disconnect"? I don't see where it can be plugged in anywhere near the water pump as there is not a place for it there. any help is appreciated, thanks!

In the first picture, the black multi pin connector is for the fan recall module. The black spade connector is the test connector for it. Also, you have a white plug into a blue plug above it looks like, white goes to white and blue goes to blue.

The spade connector in the engine bay connects to the starting/charging harness behind the PS pump, that connector is pulled way up from where it usually is.

Also, that is one CLEAN looking engine, the TB looks new!

Thanks Dale! I took my time polishing the LIM and UIM before u put it on the brand new 13B I got from Ray . quick follow up, on the ECU plugs, I don't have another blue one to plug into where the white one goes (unless its hidden inside my dash....) and if I take that one out, where does the white one go?

The blue and white plugs are typically way up in there behind the blower motor/AC box. The ECU harness should have a blue and white plug coming off of it and there should be a blue and white plug in the dash harness they connect to.

Doesn't adaptronic have a plug and play modular for the 99 harness?

I could not find one that was plug and play. Putting in the US harness was easy enough, specially since I did a non-sequential setup which makes thing super simple.

so my engine harness does not have a blue connector in it, it has two yellows one white and the black recall plug.

i did find where the larger white plug goes behind the dash, but I don’t have a blue connector.

doing some searching, it looks like my white connector is the identical size of the “blue” connector. Did Mazda change the connector colors in later year cars? There isn’t anything else to plug that blue (x05 I believe) into and the white one fits.... suggestions?

Every harness I've seen has that blue connector. It is typically way up behind the AC box. It's possible it could be caught way up in there or hung up in the firewall grommet or something.

May even be worth pulling the harness back through the firewall to find it.

looks like Mazda changed the X05 to white in the new harnesses from blue? At least according to this guy who purchased a new OEM harness... maybe mine is just newer. But I do not have the blue plug
