Broken door handle fix

Thought I'd share how I fixed my broken door handle since these things are known to break.

Don't have any pics of it broken but mine broke here.

Used jb weld to glue the btoken pieces, this was the strongest one walmart had at with a tensile strength of 4400 PSI.

What I noticed is the oem spring had a very high tension rate so I wanted to replace it with a softer spring so that it wouldn't put as much stress on my glued back together handle.

So I came up with the idea of using a bobby pin and shaped it similar to the oem one pictured above.

I'm hoping the bobby pen maintains its tension.* If it doesn't I'll take it out to replace it with another pen.

Just installed it on the car and working as it should. Don't drive the car all that much but will report back here after opening the door a few times with this setup.

Hopefully someone finds this helpful or finds a better way to fix broken handles instead of paying $250 for a new one.
