Breakdown of a Reman

The rx7 I bought came with a 8k mile reman in perfect condition. Is their a way for me to find out too what extent the engine was remanfactured ie. is the housing new etc.. The dealership didn't seem to interested in helping me with this. I know random remans are like a grabbag but I'm guessing theirs a way to track down it's origin.

(I do have the original reciet and paperwork on the engine swap.)

Side note: The dealer only registered two recalls on my particular rx7. It's a 93 Auto
is their a reason their are only two or is the dealer full if crap.

Here are the '93 recalls:

As far as I know, there is no list as to what was new/used on a reman. Just get a compression test done as that will let you know how healthy the motor is 'currently'.
