Hi guys, here is the situation :

I wanted to changed my brake fluid because I changed my rubber hoses for stainless hose so while I was there…

The problem is that while bleeding the brakes, I was adding some brake fluid. The fluid is Motul 600 but I don't know what was in before that. The two liquid mixed.

One week later, my oil is completely black. What could have cause that? Is only the mix of the fluids able to do that? Do you think I might have worn some gaskets? What if I remove the little tank and the master cylinder, clean them very well and then I start refilling them and bleeding the rest of the brakes?

Is there anything special with the FD brake fluid system? When I add fluid, it looks like it doesn't mix very well, kind of like there was some water in my oil.

Please tell me something.

My Understanding is that Motul 600 is NOT Compatible with most other Brake Fluids - I think you need to completly flush the brake system I think you need 3 Qts fluid to do it right. Blead all four corners until clear fluid runs out then drive the car using the brakes frequently then repeat the bleading process - do this at least 3 times. You have to drive the car in order to circulate the fluid out of the ABS - The ABS Pump cycles when you first go over 5mph after starting the car

 

Motul 600 is compatible with regular brake fluids. Just try to get out as much of the old fluid as posible. Keep bleeding your brakes until the fluid comes out clean.
