Brake Booster Paret Number/Availability

Does anyone know the part number for, and/or a place to buy a replacement brake booster (the large round black canister behind the master cylinder)? I can't find a PN much less any source for such a thing, other than Carid which lists it as out of stock. Sort of a crucial component to be NLA.

Vacuum power assist, part no. FD04-43-800B, but discontinued.

For sale on Amazon for $531, but they're "temporarily out of stock".

Mazda really chaps my *** sometimes. I can understand some parts being NLA after awhile, particularly non-essential stuff like interior trim, etc., but something that could take the car off the road?! On one of your most iconic vehicles for which you've recently started a heritage/restoration program for? C'mon, man.

Maybe an option? Ed Strain, Incorporated - Power Brake Booster Rebuild

Thanks!

But mine's fine. (thank god). Was looking for a spare on which to work up something custom.

The good thing is they hardly if ever go out. It shouldn't be too hard/pricey to find a good used one.

FYI the RHD boosters are mirror image with the vacuum nipple on the opposite site.

they stock the stuff that sells... the boosters don't go bad, and if they do, can be rebuilt.

Separate thread i guess, but judging by the number of parts I've tried to buy in the last three years that aren't available, I'd say they don't necessarily stock what (would) sells. Transmission parts, fuel senders (which ****** A do go bad), its pretty bad.
