braided line installed, blead, pedal is loose up top

hey, i installed the clutch master cylinder, and a new braided line, then blead it using a speed bleeder. i pumped and let the slave air loose untill no air came out, and then some more pumping after. then, i closed everything up, but the top of the pedal range is loose, but there is ample pressure lower. it feels better than ever except the top of the range, almost like theres too much pedal travel. is this noraml? and does the clutch pedal need to be adjusted lower? or you think i missed some air? ive done this on many cars, this just seems finiky. what was other peoples experieences when changing to a braided clutch line? btw, i got on it in 2nd, and there is no slipage at all.

You should have about a half inch of dead slop at the top of the pedal travel where the clutch pedal isn't engaging the master cylinder. That may be what you were feeling.

But, glad it's workin' .

there is an adjustment rod too. grab a flashlight and stick your head under the dash. you'll see a rod going from the pedal into the master cylinder.

grab a 12mm open end wrench and loosen the lock nut. twist the rod clockwise (as you're facing it from behind) into the master cylinder. this should give you a firmer pedal higher, and make the clutch engage a bit higher as well.

twist the rod the opposite way for the opposite effect.

You just need to build pressure back up in the system. It should improve the more it's used.

yes, shes working perfectly now. llike said, it just needed to build the pressure back and i think the new clutch master cylinder just needed some break in. basically, the entire clutch hydralics are brand spanking new now . im happy.
