BOV upgrade on stock turbos? lost..help..

im wondering what a good BOV upgrade would be for the stock turbos. im getting a new FMIC setup instead of the stock one and was wondering what a good aftermarket bov would be for it considering theyre sequential turbos and theres different psi at times.. etc.. does the psi matter? im kinda confused.. help? thanks!

Any BOV is fine just make sure you have the flange for it to put it on the IC piping. The stock BOV worked fine for me till I went single turbo. I personally don't see the reason for upgrading if the stock one works fine.

An aftermarket BOV is only an upgrade in the sense of how it sounds and looks. The stock turbo control system takes no benefit from adjustable BOVs.

Not completely true. The stock BOV has a fairly weak spring for the valve. Therefor, it closes much later than aftermarket BOV thus taking that much longer to build boost. It is possible to change the spring out of the stock BOV get that type of performance as Garfinkle does this mod, but aftermarket BOV's can provide better turbo response as well as "a difference noise". I will agree that the change isn't huge, but it is noticeable.

You are definitely more than correct in the fact that the stock BOV is more than adequate for the stock twins.

Are you referring to modifying the stock BOV?

Here's the quote from Garfinkle:

You might bug him to see if he knows the strength and length of the spring. Then you could just source something similar.

I was just joking with you, you using the stock elbow on your black car? Could hook up the bov to the hole in the back of the elbow for better response. I seen someone do this at JPR's

I'm using the stock elbow on the black car and I would like to retain the stock relief valves, I don't need all those whistles when I let off the gas . I have the Greddy valve on my silver car and it's annoying as hell.

Your like a old man when it comes to this stuff. You have twin wastegates, you dont like them, and now you dont like a simple greddy BOV? You should put the stock catback on, bov on, and don't know what to tell you bout the 2 wastegates.
