BOV Location
Hi. This must've been covered on here at some time, but i searched and couldnt find anything. I found a small snippet on fd3s.net and its in conjunction with what i know from "normal" piston turbos. im just checking its still right for the wankel as i still see pics of 13b's with bov's before the I/C and then others after the I/C

Next to the throttle body would be the best as it would keep the air flow towards it. If you place it near the turbos, then you can get backwards or static directional flow in the system past the turbos.
That is one of the faults of the stock system."
at the moment (from when i bought the car) the hks BOV that it came with comes out of an outlet that is on the efini y-pipe.
if the statement above is true for fds then can i run the BOV from the elbow (the elbow has a pipe outlet on it just after the bend - which to me is the ideal location for a BOV - literally before the throttlebody.

With the Greddy elbow and flange kit you will need the Greddy bov as that's the flange welded to it. I almost bought the RS myself. Greddy elbow is also shoter then stock, so you will need the two peice kit if you have oem smic.
Did you block off the other end of the hose that goes to the elbow? If you didn't, you will be have oil spitting in the engine bay. Is there a reason you need to replace the bov? Are you going to be able to change the oil filter with that setup?
