bov keep turbo spinning
bov keep turbo spinning
I heard from a fellow Twin turbo guy ( actually he owns a 33 skyline ) ( lucky bastard! )
He told me that "one of the reason the bov has a return line into the intake box is because it help the turbo to spin between shifts"
I noticed a little difference in turbo spool between shifts when I disconect the bov. So I was wondering if there was any truth to this.
Assuming the car is completely stock.

The BOV has one purpose and thats to keep the air from building up when you throttle down, it keeps air from back flowing into the turbo and causing damage to the blades etc. It gets into more detail than this but its a basic explanation.
