bought greddy FMIC from rx7 store and got no instructions

Not that is their fault or anything, It would be nice though to have them as a guide line to follow. My neigbor owns GNS racing, his car is in May issue of Turbo magizine so I'm sure he could figure it out for me. I just know that if I don't give him some sort of guidelines I'm going to pick my car up and he'll hand me a box of left over parts. I don't know if you guys know or not but this kit came with a hole almost shoe-box size of fittings, clamps, and all types of weird ****. If you must know its the greddy FMIC 2 row for stock twins with elbow. I just want to make it as easy as possible and quick as possible for install Please help me with this somebody. Heck, he probably wouldn't use them anyways but I would make me feel good inside knowing I had them If needed. THANKS

I have them and can fax to you. Freaking Greddy does not pack instructions with the RX-7 intercoolers anymore. They just figure everyone knows how to install them.

Jason, if you could scan them and post, I and others will probably need them too.

Or, If you can give me a copy next time I'm over, I'll take care of the scan and post...

Are these the Japanese instructions??? I got those, theyre crap. little tiny pictures and not very good either.
The box of clamps, fittings, brackets and little tiny pipes is actually not that bad(confusing i know).
If you see someones car(w/the ic mounted) you'll see and go ahh, makes sense.

I also got the greddy front mount from rx7store, and the problem was not only were their no instructions, but the intercooler did not fit properly. It was lower than my front nose. Nor did it come with the brackets and fittings needed to relocate the a/c and radiator. I sold mine. do a search for greddy instructions, and you may find a thread I started weeks ago. last I looked, someone was talking about posting the instructions.

i bought a greedy 3 row from the rx7 store 2 months ago, and have not been able to get it to fit correctly. i send pms and get no replies, i call the rx7 store and get no returned phone calls.

Mike, do you ever even pick up the phone? or do you just listen to the messages and only return calls from ppl who want to throw $$$$$ at the store? i already spent my freaking $$$$ with you guys, but i cant get a f*cking phone call returned after 2 months?????!!!

you know what? cancel my freaking reservation for the AEM ecu, i'll pay more for it somewhere else. somewhere that will return my goddamn phone calls about possibly defective products they sold me!!!

Roan Farquharson-

First off, when did you ever send me a PM? I have EVERY PM everyone has ever sent me. The only PM I got from you, was in a responce to a PM I sent you regarding the AEM. This was on 02-07-02 - 07:42 PM

As far as returning phone calls, thats is another matter. While I agree, there have been some mistakes on our part; we do not intentionally evade people. There is only two of us handling this business, and we had some kinks to work out.

We have since rearranged some duties to better serve the customers.
-The hours have been cut back, in which ALL call backs are made.
-We have added an aditional phone line specifically for tracking numbers.
-We are creating a new website to handle orders, tracking, and responces.
-etc, etc.

So, to be a ***** like you make me out to be Roan; Let me confide to you that whenever 'YOU' personally call, I intentionally don't answer it. I do this just to frustrate you, and drop whatever I could be doing in that moment of time just to **** you off.

Sounds silly huh? Thats because it is. I would only hope that through talking to me, you would realize this is not the case whatsoever.

I get frustrated too; for that it is understandable for people to have a 'bad' experience with a shop. This happens every day, every second of the day, all over the world. Whats frustrating, is that when the shop really does attempt to help; and then has people attack them instead of offering constructive critisism.

Sorry for the rant.

Mike

Did you let us know that it was missing brackets? I have had one other customer call about missing brackets and it ended up that his brackets where not correct on the AC condensor.
We dont open the boxes before they are shipped.

If installed correctly that intercooler fits perfectly. I have installed 3 of them and it did take some trimming of the front bumper, but it was a very good fit.

Just cause I like to throw my .02 into everything...

SPEED_NYC, just so you know (coming from someone completely uninvolved in this situation) looks to me like you we're the one who started being a ***** to Mike in the first place (atleast in this thread). Doesn't make much sense when you talk **** about them, complain, say you are going to cancel you AEM order and pay more elsewhere...then call him a ***** for defending himself.

Hey Jason/Mike/anyone else who knows...what are the core dimensions for the 2-row? Also, do they make a 3-row for stock twins, or for Greddy Turbo Kit only?

TIA,
Brad

Brad-

The Greddy 2 row's demensions are:

11 inches tall, 23 inches long, and 3 inches thick.

The Greddy 2 row comes in basically 4 options:
1) For the Stock Twins and Greddy Elbow
2) For the Stock Twins and Regular Elbow
3) For the Single turbo and Greddy elbow
4) For the single turbo and regular elbow.

The 3 row is designed specifically for the Single turbo.

Now, this is all in reference to 'piping'. If you wanted, you could always put a 3 row, and fabricate some piping to the Y pipe.

The reason behind the 3row not being available for the twin turbos, is core efficency. Most people don't run in excess of 20psi on the stock turbos, therefore they only offer the 2 row.

If you have any questions, please give me a call.
913.254.9610.

Thanks,

Mike

Holy ****, that's pretty big. Is that including the endtanks? My custom FMIC (when I was going single ) is 24x13x3 and it is absolutely HUGE!

Thanks for the info, Mike. I don't know what Mr. SPEED_NYC is talking about...you definitely aren't a *****

Well, once I can get someone to buy my turbo and FMIC, you will be hearing from me. Thanks again!

actually, i never called anyone a *****. mike was being sarcastic when he said that i was accusing him of being a *****. I have nothing against mike or jason, i just get really frustrated when i get bad customer service. i continue to buy from the rx7 store even though i have had less than desireable ordering experiences with them every time i atempt to buy something (3). i'm a guy who likes a good deal and i have not been able to find better prices on any of the parts i bought from the store anywhere else.

this was not an attack on the store by me, i'm just letting out all of the frustrations i've been dealing with trying to get my car running.

i wasn't bullshitting when i said that i can never get a returned phone call from them, that does **** me off, and i do see it as a lack of caring on thier part. do i think that it is personaly directed to only me? no. i understand that they are understaffed and very busy, but come on, if you dont intend to return phone calls, just change the answering machine message to "server is too busy, please try again later"

the other thing that has been pissing me off is the whole AEM computer thing, i've been waiting months for them to release that thing, while i pay $600 a month insurance on a car that just sits in my garage!!!

so mabye i blew an apex seal... however, i dont think that i was/am wrong for being angry about not being able to get some tech support after spending lots of money with somebody.

BTW, i no longer need you guys to return my call, rotary_93 was nice enough to call me at home and help me with the problem i was having.

and that thing about taking me off of the AEM waiting list was really directed at jason, the AEM jason, because i am sick of waiting for parts for my car! i'm gonna order a E6K this week.

sorry for wasting everybody's time with this. Mike, do you at least understand where i am coming from here? can you under stand why i felt like you guys just enjoy f*cking up every thing i tyr to do? (remember that whole tracking # thing?)

i hate to say it, but, mabye i over-reacted....... friends?

oh yeah, Mike, if it was that easy for you to find my full name, wouldn't have been that easy to find my phone # and call me weeks ago?

Roan-

I know who a lot of people are on this forum. How? I am an admin for this board; as well as working with Jason on the store. I have always known that this was your nick.

Now, what STILL frustrates me is the fact that you think I consciously knew that you had called; and I opted not to call you. This is not the case by any means.

I am glad Anthony called you and assisted you with the install.

Can I sympathize with you regarding your experience?

Sure. I have already expressed my feelings and the apologies on the phone with you.

I still think you did attack me, and the store. But you know what? Oh well. I'll get over it. I just wish people knew that this was not our intention by any means.

We have took under advisement of the customers some issues. We appreciate any constructive criticism; rather than attacks.

Ask anyone recently that has called in and received our voicemail, if I have called them back. We changed our processes, and things are working well.

If you ever do call again, I sincerely hope you get the voicemail. This way you will see from 5:00pm - 6:00pm Central Standard time, you will get a return phone call.

Again, I apologize to everyone for any bad experiences that they have encountered. We can't prevent them all, but gosh darn it; we will try.

Mike

mike, i figured that you knew my nick, i'm just supprised that you remembered my last name.

if u think i attacked you, then i am sorry, and about this calling thing. i do not think that you deliberately did not call me back, i think its more like a 'we get too many calls to call everybody back' thing.

the reason you think that i feel you knew i called and opted not to call me back is because i left a message on your machine saying "hi this is Roan, i boughtxxxxxxx from you and i need to speak to you. please, please call me back this time at (xxx) xxx-xxxx, thank you." i called and left that message a feew days ago, was this with the new processes?

see the thing is, i like using the phone when i have tech questions, rather than sending e-mail and stuff. if i'm covered in grease and laying under the car, its much easier to call than type.

i'm over it, i have no hard feelings, and i will buy from you guys again when the need arises.

as for constructive critism, what is up with the server anyway? can we set up some way to make donations to buy a new one? i'll gladly chip in for that
