My cd player is acting very strange, ill put in a cd and it will skip, not skip to certain tracks, and sometimes sound like its being fast fowarded, which is strange , ive tried cleaning it with the gimmicky cd player cleaners, but that didnt work...any ideas? lens misaligned or something?....thoughts appreciated

 

It's probably misaligned unless you've done any head unit wire change recently. I doubt if it'll help but you may want to try the WET cd lense cleaner instead of the dry brush ones that are useless.

Worse case scenario, you can get a new one or a used one. Or you can just get a new head unit and an adapter from crutchfield which will connect to the bose wires.

 

sounds like the laser pickup is going out, a common problem. most stereo repair places can fix it for about $70-$100. try a search on the net under bose radio repair or something like that.
