boosting problem
boosting problem
today i tried to turn up the boost from 9.5 psi sustained to around 12 or so. the greddy profect b ( the 1st one) on the low dial when turned all the way up will not sustain boost of 12 psi more than 1000 rpms. then i run the high to see if i can make more with that. with the high dial around 1/2 rotation (line pointed strait up), i cannot sustain 11 psi more than around 1400 rpms. basically, it peaks at 13 and falls almost immediatly to 11 and then to 10 at upper rpms. i am aware that the stock nonsequentials will fall off but i only thought to 10 lbs near red line. im wondering why alot of tunring on the boost controller only produces minimal boost increases. my balance is set to about a 1/4 turn. could this be the cause of not able to achieve much boost? i have mods to run 15 psi, and im wondering if its capable of that much boost. is this normal? i do hear a woosh woosh woosh at boost onset and the car bucks some. its definatly not from tuning. any ideas or insight?
thanks,
-Andy

update: went out for more boost tuning. i messed with the balance on the bc more, and a few clicks under half it holds boost better. i was seeing a sustained boost of around 12 and then fallling off to 11 or so. it spikes to .90 bar as per the power fc. i did try uping a bit of boost and i saw a tad over 13 psi now so i turned it back down. there is alot better power now. this car moves very well. feels like my evo when it trapped 115 mph.
