Not having a vacuum leak does NOT mean you dont have a boost leak. One of the most common places to get a boost leak, the corrogated pipes before the throttle boddy elbow never see vacuum, only boost.

Make the home depot boost leak testor.

Wastegate spring is 7psi so anything below that almost garantees a boost leak.

Possibly a bad turbo pre-control solenoid.

When I was diagnosing a boost issue I had, one of the troubleshooting steps we took was to unhook the connector from the pre-control. Under these conditions I would not boost over 5psi.

I'm not promising that's the problem, but it is a symptom I had when I unhooked mine.

when my car was having low boost issues I switched out the turbo's for a lower mileage set and now it boosts fine...but I would do what Cloudpump says and check out the pre-control solenoid first.

thanks for getting back to me

ok, so a few things i should mention.

bought a set of turbo's... switched them over and it did the exact same thing.

my stock bov, does not work..but when i put it into my buddies car..it works just fine and when i put his on mine, it did the same thing. it has no type of blow off. I get some type of funny noise when i let off the gas well im in boost.

i had a hole in my gas tank from a amp install...that was fixed (and the company paid for everything even with rental car ) and it brought my boost up to 7 psi but brings it up slowly.

ok this problem is solved! and for anyone that wants to know, i had to follow the simplified diagram, it turns out when i took my car in to do a smoke test they broke a 5 port T and didnt tell me... so i was looking around and following all the vacuum hoses and it was all fucked up in there lol they used 4 different 3 port T's and they also put the check valve in the wrong location..and backwards lol

so i put another 5 port t in there, and i put the check valve in the right location and now....and thank god that fixed it lol

thanks for your help everyone
