Boost problem ... HELP!
Hi guys, I work at Camo Tuning in Montreal and one of my customer have a 95 FD. I don't know very much about rotary so i'm requiring your expertise. The problem is weird, the boost vary alot 2nd gear it's 7psi, 3rd is 0psi and 4th is 9psi. When I shift from 2nd to 3rd at wot the 7psi stay for a moment in third and goes down to 0psi right away! For the first gear it's worst, sometime it boost sometimes no boost at all. I don't want to spend too much time trying to find the problem before having your ideas about it, so any hint is welcome! I love those cars so much and it make me sad to see it running so bad
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!

I'm gonna guess some kind of boost leak. Do you hear it venting the air when you lose boost?
Also verify the check valves. The pressure tank and vacuum tank need to remain isolated from the manifold, if you lose that things quit working. Also run the KOKO test procedure on www.fd3s.net/boost_test.html.
Honestly though if you have no experience troubleshooting this problem you may be up against a huge amount of labor. Giving advice over the Internet is a shaky proposition and IMO only reasonable when the person on the other end has plenty of time to pick through it. I would talk to your customer to explain that this may not be easy.
